When a woman is pregnant, thousands of doubts and questions appear. Uncertainty, wanting to know what the baby will be like, or even what it is like, leads couples to look for information to get an idea of how things are going.
One of the most used tools is the calculator of the probable due date , to know more or less when the desired day may arrive. Another of the widely used resources is the one that we offer you today: a calendar of measurements and weight of the fetus week by week.
The data is obviously approximate , since on the day of delivery, marked at week 40, the baby measures 49 cm and weighs 3400 grams, when the reality in each family is very different. Babies of 47.5 cm are born, but also babies that measure 45, or 52 cm are born with the same weeks of gestation, in the same way that there are babies that weigh 3001 grams, others that weigh 2700 at term and others that exceed 4000 grams.
So these data serve as a guide to know how our baby is doing and as an aid when they have given us the measurements and weight of the fetus during the visit to the gynecologist. But the last word is not in this graph, but in what the professionals have said, who are the ones who can tell when everything is going well or when there is something that should be taken into account and monitored.
