There are multiple genetic causes that can lead to azoospermia or the absence of sperm in semen. The best known are listed below:
- Alterations in the karyotype on some occasions, the formation of the testicle will not be correct.
- Y chromosome microdeletions involvement in the genes that code for sperm production, which can lead to azoospermia.
- Cystic fibrosis in this genetic disease, microtubule obstructions appear, which may lead to azoospermia.
- Other problems multiple genes are involved in the generation of sperm. The failure of one or more of them, sometimes difficult to detect, may be involved in azoospermia.
